The World Waste process based on steam and pressure was
developed at the University of Alabama, in Huntsville where it was tested and proven sound though the operation of
several prototypes. A commercial prototype was built in 1997, and
successfully processed 40 tons of municipal solid waste a day for
experimental observation during a period of 18 months.
On May 1, 2006, the University assigned all rights, title and
interest in the Patent to World Waste in exchange for cash and stock.
The University also assigned to World Waste all information, trade
secrets, know-how, technology and accompanying intellectual property
rights developed by the University, its employees, contractors and
licensees, related to, or covered by, the Intellectual Property.
World Waste has undertaken the exploration of the markets and
commercial potential of this technology. World Waste is currently
seeking contracts with municipalities and private enterprise to solve
their waste disposal needs here in the United States. |
